Weekend on the track with the Reds

In the GT Open Championship’s third round, held at the Belgian Spa-Francorchamps circuit, Ferrari gained a place on the podium in both races. At the end of the first race it was Michele Rugolo with Giacomo Ricci, behind the wheel of a F430 from Advanced Engineering, who crossed the line third, behind the Porsche with Raymond Narac-Patrick Pilet and Gianluca Roda-Richard Lietz, while the Trottet Racing team car gained second place in race 2, between the Porsches with Roda-Lietz and Pedro Couceiro-Manuel Giao, thanks to an exceptional performance by Marcel Fassler and Joel Camathias.
The fourth race of the Spanish series will be held on the upcoming weekend at the Donington circuit.

In the fourth round of the North American Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli, back on the track of Road America in Wisconsin, victory went to Scott Tucker (Boardwalk Ferrari) in the first race, followed by Zak Brown and Henri Richard, behind the wheels of two F430 from the Ferrari of Silicon Valley. At the end of and exciting second race Mark McKenzie (Ferrari of Houston) crossed the line ahead of Scott Tucker and Henri Richard.



In first race in the Shell Historic Challenge, for cars with disc brakes, was won by Lawrence Stroll with a 512 M Sunoco, followed by Jim Fuchs (512 BB/LM) and Chuck Wegner (512 BB/LM); Fuchs gained victory in race two followed again by Wegner and Stephen Dudley (308 GTB/M). The two races for historical cars with drum brakes had the same outcome: Peter Giddins (Maserati 250F) ahead of Jeff O’Neill behind the wheel of a sister car and Chuck Wegner (Maserati 200SI).
The North American racing series will be back on the track at Mont Tremblant in Canada, on 26th July.
