Maserati at the Bologna Motor Show
This year will mark the 30th anniversary of the celebrated Motor Show (www.motorshow.it). Practically all top names in the automobile world will be present at the event. In total, more than 30 million visitors have attented the exhibition since it was inaugurated. This year there will be 105 cars unveiled and, as per tradition in Bologna, meetings and press conferences will mean the visitor gaining a more in-depth understanding of motoring.
Further, in the outdoor arena, over 200 drivers will take part in 30 exhibition races, from Formula 1 to rallying. There will also be a challenge reserved to Maserati Trofeo drivers. This will take place in Area 48 on 3 December.
The Trident marque will present the two new versions of the Quattroporte at the Bologna Motor show.
The Sport GT will be exhibited in Nero Carbonio and the Executive GT in Blu Malagò. Alongside them will be an aggressive GranSport and an elegant Coupé Cambiocorsa. These models will flank the GranSport Spyder, making its Italian public debut.

The importance of racing to the Trident company will be underlined by the presence at the stand of a GranSport Trofeo and a Vitaphone Racing Team MC12. This MC12 raced in the FIA GT world Gran Turismo championship and made a huge contribution to Maserati winning the Constructors' title. One important step along the way was the German team claiming the Spa 24 Hour with Bartels, Scheider and Van de Poele at the wheel.
One event to look out for is the taxi drive that is programmed for 2 December in Area 48. This will involve Trident single-make drivers allowing some journalists to experience the thrill of the 425 bhp vehicles.

The International Motor and Motorcycle Show will be open to the public from 3-11 December.
The event will be held in Bologna's exhibition zone. Opening times will be 9-18 on weekdays and 8:30-19 at weekends.
Thursday 1 December is reserved to the press and Friday 2 December to trade visitors.
