On the upcoming weekend the first Ferrari Racing Days will be held at the Monza circuit. With this event the Corse Clienti 2009 motorsport season will officially be inaugurated.

This year's innovations include five new tracks on the race calendar, some real novelties and some pleasant returns: Algarve (Portugal), Imola (Italy), Le Vigeant (France), Brno (Czech Republic) and Valencia (Spain). Due to the new regulations the five races, simultaneously held with the Italian and European Pirelli Trophy racing series, will be performed together with separate classifications and a joint qualifying session to determine the starting grid for race 1. The starting grid for race 2 will be determined by the classification of the fastest race laps in race 1. The start will be performed according to the new FIA regulations.



During the event the F430s, taking part in the Italian and European Ferrari Challenge Pirelli Trophy, and the breathtaking historical cars of the Shell Ferrari Historic Challenge will be taken to the track. On the same weekend the Monza race track will also host the single-marque championship of the Prancing Horse with the Trofeo Abarth 500's debut.

The event starts on Friday with the first free practice sessions and qualifyings, with more qualifying sessions and the first races of the European racing series of the Pirelli Trophy and the Shell Cup as well as the Shell Historic Challenge on Saturday; while Sunday is dedicated to the second and conclusive round of competitions.

The two races of the Italian Ferrari Challenge Pirelli Trophy will be broadcast live on Saturday, 28th March on Sky Sport 2 at 3:30pm (Shell Cup, race 1) and at 4:30pm (Pirelli Trophy, race 1). Sky Sport 3 will broadcast the second round on Sunday, 29th March at 10:45am (Shell Cup) and at 2:15pm (Pirelli Trophy).
