Barcelona - Another afflicted morning for Ferrari

Barcelona, 11th March 2009

The test sessions' penultimate day, while getting ready for the start of the F1 Championship, didn't start too well for the Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro. Felipe Massa, who took over from Kimi Raikkonen and sits now behind the wheel of the Ferrari F60, went out on the circuit just after 9am, but had to stop by the side of the tack due to a hydraulic problem. The necessary repair work took over two hours and the Brazilian got into the car at 12:10 for a race weekend simulation: the first part, the three qualifying test session, was not brought to an end, because there wasn't enough time left, due to another car standing on the track.

In the afternoon the Team's goal is to conduct the race simulation and comparing the car's different setups.

However when the teams stopped for their lunch break Felipe was the fastest driver on the track. Here are this morning's lap times:
Massa (Ferrari), 1.20.168 (21)
Button (Brawn GP), 1.20.313 (86)
Alonso (Renault), 1.20.863 (64)
Glock (Toyota), 1.21.046 (73)
Vettel (Red Bull), 1.21.165 (52)
Kubica (BMW), 1.21.201 (71)
Rosberg (Williams), 1.21.482 (30)
Fisichella (Force India), 1.21.545 (51)
Buemi (Toro Rosso), 1.21.569 (59)
Hamilton (McLaren), 1.21.657 (49)
