First time at Jerez

The Ferrari F60 debuted at the Jerez circuit this morning at 9:01am when Felipe Massa drove the installation lap, opening the fourth and penultimate test session for the Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro before the 2009 season starts.
The car from Maranello sports some modification as far as the body is concerned, especially visible in the area of the exhaust. The Team's work will be carried out on the basis what could have been seen at Bahrain: set up work in the morning with a run of 6/8 laps and endurance tests in the afternoon.
The day started very well with a fast Felipe driving quite a few kilometres. The only problem was a small off-track experience in corner no. 3 where the single-seater picked up some sand. Nothing happened to the car, but the mechanics had to clean it from gravel stuck to the underbody. Up to that point the Brazilian had driven 41 laps. There are eight teams present here at Jerez for this test session, amongst them also Force India, debuting with the new car: now only Toro Rosso and the ex-Honda team are missing; they will appear for the first time in the upcoming week with a still unknown name. As usual it's quite difficult to estimate the performances, because some teams are already testing the Bridgestone tyres for 2010. Nevertheless Red Bull Sebastian Vettel's time stands out: he was today's fastest driver with a lap time of 1.19.055. Felipe drove the second fastest time (1.20.664), followed by Toyota test driver Kobayashi (1.21.384), Rosberg (1.21.418), Kubica (1.21.967), Piquet (1.22.266), Fisichella (1.22.340) and De La Rosa (1.22.511).
