Good showing for the Trofeo in the Spanish GT at Barcelona
Three AF Corse Trofeo GranSports were last week fielded in the last round of the Spanish GT championship held at Barcelona.
The cars took part in the race in order to gather information ahead of a possible participation next season in a Light modified for this championship. The series has slightly different rules compared to FIA GT3. The three Maseratis were fielded in the GTB category, a step up in terms of configuration. Despite this, the Trident cars performed well. The first Maserati came home ninth out of the eighteen in the category. Andrea Palma and Benedetto Marti were behind the wheel.
The second Trofeo, which placed eleventh, was driven by Simone De Martini and Rino Mastronardi. In fifteenth spot came Giuliano Fiata and Enrico Galeazzi.
