Less than two hours of the fisrt test session at the end of this year's Formula 1 season are left. A whole 14 cars went on the Circuit de Catalunya today, while nine out of the ten teams participating in the Championships took part in the tests, except Toyota. Also today, at least until this moment, a Red Bull driver was the fastest man on the track: Sebastian Vettel with a lap time of 1.19.295.

For the Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro Luca Badoer went on the track to continue the important reliability test of engine and gearbox. Luca drove more than anyone else during these tests: 1,400 kilometres, 300 this morning. Also today it was almost impossible to understand the performance levels on the track by just looking at the time sheet. The cars' configurations are too different to compare one to another. Therefore the fans of the Prancing Horse don't have to worry at all about the lap times of their drivers. Luca drove the tenth fastest time today, with his fastest lap in 1.22.866.
