Today sees the 2008 Ferrari World Finals get underway at the Mugello International Circuit. The event that traditionally brings to a close the Maranello marque's racing season, has a busy programme featuring the decisive rounds of the Italian, European and North American series of the Ferrari Challenge Pirelli Trophy and the Shell Ferrari Historic Challenge. As usual, the event also offers the opportunity to admire in action the single-seaters prepared by the F1 Clienti department and the laboratory-cars taking part in the exclusive FXX Programme.

Wednesday 5th and Thursday 6th November are given over to free practice and qualifying, with further practice and the final races of the 2008 Ferrari Challenge Pirelli Trophy taking place on Friday 7th and Saturday 8th. Sunday 9th November will see the winners crowned in the Shell Ferrari Historic Challenge as well as the overall champions in their categories at international level. The curtain comes down with a demonstration from Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro, winners of the 2008 F1 Constructors' World Championship, followed on track by the F430 GT2 cars, winners of the FIA GT Championship and the Le Mans 24 Hours.


The two Italian series Ferrari Challenge Pirelli Trophy races will be shown live on Sky Sport 2 on Friday 7th November at 15.45 (Race 1) and Saturday 8th November at 11.45 (Race 2.) The European and North American Pirelli Trophy races will be broadcast on Friday at 14.45 (Race 1) and Saturday at 08.45 (Race 2.) The Shell Cup races in the same series will be shown on Friday at 13.45 (Race 1) and Saturday at 15.30 (Race 2.) On Sunday 9th November, Sky Sport 2 will also show the World Final of the Shell Cup at 9.45 and the final demonstration at 14.00, while the World Final of the Pirelli Trophy can be seen on Sky Sport Extra at 12.15.
