Ferrari Racing Days - Victories for Roessler and Blancardi while Cadei dominates the Pole


The Ferrari Racing Days started today at the Misano Adriatico circuit with 79 F430 in the Ferrari Challenge Pirelli Trophy Italia and Europe for the fourth run of the season and the historical F1 single-seaters from the F1 Clienti department in Maranello. The racing cars showed some impressive performances, while the former ski champion and racing driver Luc Alphand was driving behind the wheel of a F2003-GA.
The first race of the European series was started today. In an exiting race in the main category of the Pirelli Trophy the German driver Wido Roessler from Team Tamsen won the race ahead of the Italian Walter Forer (Rossocorsa/Pellin) and the Frenchman Jean Marc Bachelier (Ferrari GB Dealer Team). Amongst the Gentleman Drivers of the Shell Cup the Italian Max Blancardi (Motor/Malucelli) won the race with an impressive advantage ahead of the Austrian Philipp Baron (Baron Service) and the Frenchman Nicolas Misslin (Stradale Automobile)
As far as the Qualifying for the Italian series was concerned, the Pole Position was gained by the Nicola Cadei (Rossocorsa), while amongst the Gentleman Drivers of the Shell Cup the best lap times in the Qualifying were driven by Massimo Mantovani (Motor/Malucelli) and Riccardo Ragazzi (Ineco/MP Racing).
Tomorrow the first race of the day - the first run of the Italian Pirelli Trohpy and the Shell Cup - will start at 09:30am. The race will be followed by some free practice laps of the historical F1 cars.
The two races of the Italian Ferrari Challenge Pirelli Trophy can be watched on Sky Sport 2 Italy at 9:15am (race 1) and 3:15pm (race 2). Reruns of race 1 on Sunday at 2:15pm and at 8:30pm and on Wednesday, 16th July at 5:00pm. Race 2 will be again shown on Sunday at 9:30pm and on Thursday, 17th July at 5:00.
