Prince Albert's attention was captured by Bertolini/Salo's MC12 that won at Oschersleben. The car was on display at the SRO stand where the company that organises the FIA GT was appearing for the first time.
The link between the Trident company and Monaco goes back into history. Louis Chiron, from the Principality, raced for Maserati between 1950 and 1951. In 1953 he got behind the wheel of an OSCA. In 2005, Jean-Marc Giraldi, a representative of Monaco's Olympic Committee, drove a Trofeo GranSport in the fifth round of the championship held at Silverstone.
