Build-up to start of Ferrari racing season Corse Clienti 2008

March 30th - the Italian and European series of the Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli at Monza. April 6th - Shell Ferrari Historic Challenge at Mugello.
Maranello, March 17th 2008 - The last weekend of March marks the start of Ferrari Corse Clienti's 2008 racing season.
The opening races of the Italian and European series of the Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli 2008 get underway on the weekend of March 30th at the Autodromo Nazionale in Monza.
However, tomorrow, March 18th, brings a foretaste of what's to come this season when the aforementioned circuit hosts a group test session during which teams and drivers will put 80-plus F430 Challenges through their paces in the run-up to the start of the Prancing Horse's single-series championship.
The Shell Ferrari Historic Challenge, on the other hand, debuts on April 6th. Its season opening round takes place at Mugello during the second edition of the Mugello Historic Festival. A fantastic opportunity for enthusiasts and fans alike to see a wide array of cars - many history-making international motor racing stars in their own right - in the paddock and out on the track.
The guest of honour at the 2008 edition of the Historic Challenge, however, will be the great 365 GTB4 "Daytona", which this year celebrates its 40th anniversary with a host of Ferrari-staged events across the globe.
Members of the media wishing to obtain accreditation for all 2008 Corse Clienti activities should make their official requests by email to press@ferrari.it or by fax to (0039) 0536 949 049. Season passes will be handed out at accreditation centres at the opening events being staged for each different activity. Accreditation requests must be made by Wednesday March 26th.
