Gala dinner for the 2007 Ferrari Corse Clienti Prizegiving

Maranello, 16th February 2008

Between the assembly lines at the "Nuova meccanica" in Maranello, where the engines for the most desired cars in the world are built, the Ferrari Corse Clienti honoured drivers and teams of the exciting and suspenseful season 2007.

The guests from all over the world enjoyed their aperitif on the terrace inside the building with a view of the wind tunnel to one side and the mechanic factory building, where the engine components are built, on the other. The highlight of the exclusive soiree happened after the dinner, when the awards were consigned.

?The award-giving ceremony started with images of the Historic Challenge, followed by the Ferrari Challenge participants: World Champion Vito Postiglione (Trofeo Pirelli Italia), Michael Cullen (Trofeo Pirelli Europa) and Mike Zoi (Trofeo Pirelli North America) and the winners in the categories Fair Play and Concessionari.

"Wherever you look at Ferrari you can see World Champions," said Stefano Lai, the new Head of Communication at Ferrari, presenting the new communication strategy for 2008, which foresees Sky Italia as the official broadcaster of the Italian racing series and further efforts of the car manufacturer from Maranello in the area of multimedia, with the possibility to life the emotions of the racing weekends online. The evening was completed by images from the last season and awards for achievements in the most important international Granturismo competitions, such as the fiercely contested 12 Hours from Sebring with the victory of Jamie Melo-Mika Salo and the FIA GT Championship. "A great year has drawn to an end," said Amedeo Felisa, Ferrari director general, "and 2008 will even be better!" On 30th March the first racing weekend of the Italian Ferrari Challenge will be held at Monza.
