Bayliss powers to quickest time on final day of testing in Qatar
The final pre-season testing session before the start of the championship on February 23, has concluded at the Losail Circuit in Qatar. Two teams remained for the final day today, Ducati Xerox with Troy Bayliss and Michel Fabrizio, and Yamaha Motor Italia with Noriyuki Haga and Troy Corser. The quickest time today and over the four days, was set by Bayliss, who was the only rider to dip into the 1m58s bracket. The Australian’s time was seven-tenths slower than the time he recorded in testing at the end of last year. Fellow Aussie Troy Corser was just a fraction behind on the Yamaha R1, while Haga and Fabrizio were over half-a-second down with the same time.
