Ferrari Motor Ferrari Challenge News

30 October 2005

To mark the 50th year since the Japanese event was first held, Maserati will be displaying a Birdcage 75th.

The event celebrates more than half a century since the first event at Hiniya Park in 1954. The motor show has been extended to 17 days to avoid overcrowding. This makes it the longest running motor show in the world. This year an expected 1.5 million visitors are expected, well over the 1.4 million who attended the 37th show. There will be 239 companies from thirteen countries taking part and the stands will be situated in an exhibition area measuring some 40,000 square metres.

The main theme of this year’s event will be technology and the design of future automobiles. There will be many new vehicles presented for the first time in Japan.
Maserati will, of course, be present (West Hall, Stand A06) and will exhibit the most recent versions of the Quattroporte. On display will be a high performance Sport GT in Grigio Touring and the fascinating Executive GT in Blu Nettuno. Further, coupé lovers will enjoy admiring the aggressive GranSport. Maserati will have a special treat for the spectators on 22 and 23 October when the MC12 supercar and the Pininfarina designed Birdcage 75th prototype will be alternated on the stand. The Birdcage 75th blends elevated style with the very latest in technology.
