Pole position for Ferrari at the Spa 24 Hours

The Ferrari F430 GT entered by the Italian AF Corse Motorola team, crewed by Bruni/Ortelli/Aguas has set pole position in the GT2 class for the 24 Hours, which gets underway tomorrow at 16h00 on Belgium's Spa-Francorchamps circuit, after the second series of races in the fourth round of this season's European Ferrari Challenge Pirelli Trophy.
In qualifying for the sixth round of the 2007 FIA GT championship, the car developed by the Maranello Corse Clienti department beat the Porsche of Collard/Malucelli/Lieb. In the GT1 category, which does not feature any Prancing Horse cars, the best time was set by the Corvette of Deletraz/Hezemans/Gollin/Faessler, ahead of the Aston Martin of Wendlinger/Sharp/Lichtner-Hoyer/Lechner.
In today's first races for the one-make Ferrari series, which features the F430 Challenge cars, victory went to Max Blancardi (Italy - team Motor/Malucelli) in the Pirelli Trophy and to Jaime Constable (Great Britain - Ferrari GB Dealer Team) in the Shell Cup for gentlemen drivers.
