Brno: World Superbike Superpole - Summary

Noriyuki Haga has taken pole position at the Brno round of the World Superbike Championship with a stunning1:56.603 lap. Max Biaggi (2:00.018) was second, Troy Bayliss (2:00.034) third and James Toseland (2:00.235) fourth.

Neukirchner (2:01.177) and Lanzi (2:01.078) made an impression early on, and Biaggi was the first to make a significant improvement on their times. Kagayama (2:00.879) was next out, with a ragged lap that could not match his team mate. Toseland and Corser could not match Biaggi, and while Bayliss was quicker in the first sector, he lost time on the climb uphill at the end of the lap.

Haga’s lap was almost half a second clear of anyone else and almost a second faster than his own qualifying pace.
