FIA GT - Free practice at Silverstone

The two FIA GT free practice sessions at Silverstone gave the drivers the chance to fine tune their cars ahead of the qualifying session and the race.
Despite gloomy skies, a gusty wind and low temperatures, the two sessions took place on a dry track with no rain. In the first session the Maseratis occupied, respectively, second place with Biagi/Salo (1’45”159), fourth courtesy of Giannoccaro/Pierguidi (1’45”490), fifth courtesy of Bertolini/Piccini (1’45”995) and sixth with Ramos/Montanari (1’46”012).
A little further back were the two JMB Racing MC12s that are taking part in the Citation Cup: Macari/Aucott set the 22nd best time with Waaijenberg/Kutemann in 29th.
In the second session, one interrupted by a red flag, the Biagi/Salo duo (1’46”616) came eighth, Bertolini/Piccini ninth (1’47”129), Ramos/Montanari eleventh (1’47”473) with Giannoccaro/Pierguidi stopping the clock at 1’47”902, to take twelfth. Macari/Aucott, twenty-first, and Waaijenberg/Kutemann, twenty-seventh, improved slightly their first session times.
