Assen: World Superbike Race 1 - Summary
James Toseland has won Superbike race 1 at Assen after fighting off challenges from Haga, Xaus and Bayliss.
Haga finished second after starting fifteenth, but his team mate Corser crashed out on the penultimate lap while lying third, gifting the final step on the podium to Xaus. Bayliss was fourth after fading from second in the closing laps, Lanzi was fifth and Biaggi was sixth after running at the front on the first lap.
