Scuderia Ferrari Box Champinship 2007 Starts In Lugo di Romagna

On the occasion of the "Festa del Cavallino Rampante", held in the town of Lugo di Romagna, on 21st and 22nd April, in honour of Francesco Baracca, the Scuderia Ferrari Box Championship 2007 was officially started.
12 soapboxes, brought up by ten different Scuderia Ferrari Club From all over Italy, participated in the first run of the championship. As in the best tradition of city race tracks, the main square of Lugo and the streets around the communal theatre, hosted the three runs of the soapboxes, which were about time and not about distance.
The worst of the three times could have been deleted from the time sheet, while the final time was thus calculated with the two best times out of three.
The "Nera" soapbox, started by the Scuderia Ferrari Club from Pianoro, gained victory in this first appointment of the championship, with a time of 43.41 seconds, the sum of the times of the two best runs. Second crossing the line was the "Enzo Ferrari" soapbox from SFC Modena 'Enzo Ferrari' with a time of 45.44 seconds. With just a little bit over a second behind the "Ba 2006" soapbox of San Martino di Bareggio came in third.
The price-giving ceremony was held at the monument dedicated to the Italian pilot, who gave the symbol of the Prancing Horse to Enzo Ferrari, while the commune of Lugo di Romagna handed over the trophy for the most creative soapbox, the "Tdf 400" from Ronco all'Adige.
