Alfa and Armani, a timeless elegance

“It is a pleasure for me to be able to work with a major Italian company like Alfa Romeo, a company that epitomises Made in Italy excellence” - the words of stylist Giorgio Armani presenting his partnership with Alfa Romeo, sponsor of the “Giorgio Armani Exhibition” at the ‘Triennale’ exhibition centre in Milan.
After more than six years of astounding public success internationally, the exhibition has finally returned to the stylist’s home city, where it will be open to the public from 20 February to 1 April.
The exhibition offers visitors a unique opportunity to see the highlights of thirty years’ work by Giorgio Armani, featuring six-hundred dresses, several original sketches and a range of interesting audio and video recordings. The show pays homage to the career of one of the brightest lights, not just in the world of fashion, but also in the world of contemporary culture and aesthetics.
Like Giorgio Armani, Alfa Romeo also epitomises ‘Made in Italy’ excellence in terms of undisputed elegance, style, innovation and tradition – qualities obvious in the Brera, the winner of numerous international design awards, and on display near the main entrance to the ‘Triennale’. As well as the Brera, another ten cars will be at the disposal of the organisers for transporting the host of international guests expected in Milan.
For Antonio Baravalle, CEO of Alfa Romeo Automobiles, “sponsorship of the ‘Giorgio Armani Exhibition’ is part of a strategy aimed at forging a permanent link between Alfa Romeo and the world of culture, in the sense of artistic expression highlighting creativity and innovation”.
