Losail: Corser Takes Superpole - Summary

Troy Corser will start the 2007 World Superbike season at Losail tomorrow from pole position after recording a 1:58.402 lap in Superpole, with Max Biaggi (1:58.724), James Toseland (1:58.603) and Nori Haga (1:59.294) joining him on the front row.
Lanzi (1:59.537) was fifth, Bayliss (1:59.668) sixth, Kagayama (1:59.964) seventh and Neukirchner (2:00.098) eighth.
Corser rode in his usual smooth style, while his Yamaha team mate Haga lost time on the first split and Toseland, on the Hanspree Honda, lost time on both the first and second sectors. Biaggi managed to find grip where his team mate Kagayama couldn’t and looked very comfortable on the Suzuki, and Lanzi managed to stay in front of his Ducati team mate Bayliss.
