New Blue is a limited production, track only project commissioned by Ducati
North America and developed by NCR. Starting with the platform of a 2007
Ducati Sport 1000 S, this bike recreates the classic styling and
uncompromising racing spirit first seen in Old Blue in 1977.
New Blue was created as a homage to Cook Neilson¹s 1977 Daytona Superbike
victory on a Ducati 750SS know as ³Old Blue².
Tuned by Phil Schilling and piloted by Cook Neilson, Old Blue represents the
first racing victory for the Ducati brand in North America and served to
increase the popularity of Superbike racing in North America immensely.
New Blue production will be limited to 50 numbered motorcycles with each one
hand-made on demand and custom tailored for the owner by NCR.
