In 2007 Ferrari celebrates its 60th year as a car manufacturer. Since its humble beginnings in 1947, the Prancing horse has become probably the world's most famous marque and certainly its best loved. We intend to celebrate this historic 60th anniversary with a major event that will involve clients from all over the world. The celebrations will take place in Maranello on june 23th and 24th, and will include a stunning concours d'elegance for models of all eras. But prior to this there will be an international event which, rather like a relay race, will carry a symbol representing the 60 most significant episodes in the company's history across all five continents. On Sunday, May 20th 2007, Maranello will host the second official Ferrari auction organised by RM auction in association with Sotheby's in the New Logistics building. The sale will see a variety of historic models and memorabilia plus a number of lots completely new to the market and put up directly by Ferrari, go under the hammer.
