SUPER GT 2007-version SC430 makes Demonstration run at TMSF

November 26: The Toyota Motorsports Festival 2006, held at Fuji Speedway, was the scene of a demonstration run for the 2007-spec SC430, successor to the series-winning machine from this season. The SC430's Official Test Driver Juichi Wakisaka made the 2-lap demo run in wet conditions.
The demonstration run was not listed in the day's programme, and came as a complete surprise to the assembled motorsport fans.
Immediately upon the conclusion of the demonstration run by the 2006 machine, the garage shutters opened suddenly and an unpainted version of the car ventured out on track.
The car was announced over the PA as the GT500-class challenger to be campaigned in 2007 by the manufacturer. In the wet conditions, a run in anger was unable to be undertaken, though Wakisaka managed to really lift the pace over the last half lap as he waved to the fans.
He then entered the pit straight, and under the strict conditions surrounding next year's car, the shutters were again immediately shut tight. Ahead of next season, there are still many secrets.
