Norick Abe and Ralf Schumacher in bike vs car challenge
Norick Abe, who rode in the Superbike World Championship last season, and Ralf Schumacher took part in an entertaining challenge at the Fuji circuit in Japan as part of the Toyota Festival. Behind the handlebars and steering wheel of their respective machines, a Yamaha YZR-M1 and the Formula 1 Toyota TF 106, the two men took part in a sprint over a distance of 600 metres. The winner, by two tenths of a second, was Ralf Schumacher, thanks to the wet tarmac conditions under which cars are at a distinct advantage compared to bikes.
