01/09/2006 FIA GT celebrates 100th race in Dijon-Prenois


Round 6 of the 2006 season is the 100th race in the history of the FIA GT Championship.  As part of the celebrations, the BMW Motorsport McLaren F1 GTR which won the very first race, JJ Lehto and Steve Soper at the wheel, has been brought to the French circuit of Dijon to form the centrepiece of a special 100-race exhibition.
All the drivers taking part in this 100th race gathered together on the track, behind the first winner, and the car currently leading the Championship, the nr 1 Vitaphone Racing Team Maserati MC 12, for a photo shoot.
At the front, the drivers who took part in that 1st race and who will be racing this weekend : Christophe Bouchut, Emmanuel Collard,  Jean-Denis Deletraz, Christian Pescatori, Philipp Peter, Luca Riccitelli, Gerold Ried ...
Stephane Ratel, chairman of SRO, promoter of the FIA GT Championship, joined his drivers on the grid.
