First day of testing at Monza

Monza, 29th August 2006

Circuit: Autodromo di Monza, 5.793 km Drivers: Felipe Massa and Luca Badoer Car: 248 F1 Weather: air temperature 22/27 °C, track temperature 25/39 °C. Sunny in the morning, then overcast in the afternoon. First day of testing this week for the Scuderia, working today at the Monza circuit. Felipe Massa and Luca Badoer took to the track today, both men at the wheel of a 248 F1. The technical programme featured tyre and set-up tests, as well as initiating engine endurance testing on both cars, fitted with an aerodynamic package specifically suited to the demands of this track. The day in figures reads as follows: 70 laps for Felipe (best time 1.22.359,) 82 laps for Luca (1.22.539) Testing at this track continues tomorrow, when Felipe Massa will be joined on track by Michael Schumacher.
