The Ferrari Panamerican 20,000 gets underway from Belo Horizonte


Four thousand Fiat staff, the entire Brazilian management team and the Minas Gerias state officials from Belo Horinzonte in Brazil today saw off the Ferrari Panamerican 20,000. Ferrari decided to begin the Tour from the Fiat plant as a celebration of the thirtieth year of its presence in the country. Another landmark is the 9 million vehicles that have been produced by Fiat Automòveis.
The 32,000 km route is divided into 15 stages. These stopovers will give the crews a chance to switch over. The crews will be formed by journalists from all over the world.
Today's first stage leaves from Belo Horizonte and races through Rio De Janeiro, Sao Paolo and Curitiba. Foz do Iguazu will be reached after six days of driving and after having covered over 2000 km.
