Post GT1 race declarations from Paul Ricard

Thomas Biagi: “It is a shame, because for sure we could compete to win this race. All the package was perfect, the car was good and we were confident for this race. But I had a crash with another car before the start, on my way to the grid. I’m really not happy about that. During those few minutes I thought that our race was finished, but our mechanics did an incredible job. We have to say many many thanks to them, they changed our rear suspension and other parts in an incredible time, and they gave us the opportunity to come back on track. I pushed very hard during the first stint. Then Jamie did a great job, and it is great to bring the car to the podium”.

Jamie Davies: “At the beginning of the race I was just ready to walk to the grid, to see Thomas, but I saw the car coming back to the pits, which was a real surprise. We had huge suspension damage, and the team did a great job. Thomas did a great job in the first stint. We had a really good car this week end, Maserati and Pirelli did a great job. It would have been tough to beat the Corvette. Third position is a good result, and after the start we are very happy with that. Now I look forward to Dijon, where I hope we will have a clear race without any dramas”.
