Third place for Davies-Biagi at Paul Ricard

The Vitaphone Maserati of Biagi and Davies finished third, despite starting from the pit lane after a collision on the way to the starting grid.
Biagi and Davies stunningly moved up and took the podium, though not having the chance to overtake the Corvette C6Rs that passed first under the chequered flag.
The MC12 driven by Bartels-Bertolini started the race from the end of the grid after having replaced the engine in the morning.
The car in fact moved up seventh though starting the race from the end of the grid. The performance of the Pirelli-shod MC12, which won in July both in Germany and in Belgium, means much more if we consider it raced carrying a 125 kilos weight that inevitably has not simplified the drivers’ task in their moving up.
