An exciting race around the Paul Ricard HTTT circuit saw GLPK take their first win of 2006, giving the Corvette C6 its maiden FIA GT win. Kumpen, Hezemans and Longin were involved in a race-long battle with the PSI Experience Corvette, but won out after the second round of pit-stops.  The Vitaphone Maserati of Biagi and Davies finished third, despite starting from the pit lane after a collision on the way to the starting grid.
Race Alliance finished fourth, for their best result of the season so far in the nr 33 Aston Martin DBR9
In GT2, Scuderia Ecosse took a fine one-two for their Ferrari 430 GT2 cars, barely challenged throughout the race, although their inter-team battle raged throughout.  Third place in the all-Ferrari podium went to JMB GruppeM, with Sugden and Alexander making up a nearly all-British podium
Riverside won the G3 category, the nr 124 Corvette Z06 finishing ahead of the nr 125; both JMB Ferrari GT3 cars suffered engine problems.
