DUCATI TWO-SEATER LIGHTS UP LAGUNA

Two-Seater Laguna Seca

Former GP winner Randy Mamola and the Ducati Team Desmosedici two-seater gave the Laguna Seca crowd something to get excited about before this afternoon's US GP, taking seven actors and celebrities around the rollercoaster track. All seven of today's passengers are bike fans, most of them track-day addicts and two of them racing heroes in their own right.

Ben Bostrom, current Ducati Superbike star and former US champ: "That was unbelievable, I couldn't believe how fast he went. He was sliding the bike, it was frightening but I loved it, it was the best. The power of a MotoGP bike is just amazing, it really starts to pull from the middle of the straight, where a Superbike is flattening out, that's what a rider dreams of!"

Dax Shepard, Hollywood actor, most recently starred in Zathura: "Dude, that felt like I was making love to a lion! Holy cow, you know how time slows down in an accident? Well, that felt like an hour or two. I ride track days but that wasn't even the same universe, it was totally amazing."

Ed Quinn, Hollywood actor, currently starring in sci-fi series Eureka: "Motorcycling is a leap of faith, you have to learn to trust the brakes, to trust the tyres and this time I had to learn to trust Randy too. It was the most amazing thing. Braking into the Corkscrew it felt like my head was over the front tyre!"

Francesco Quinn, Hollywood actor, soon to play Giacomo Agostini in bio-movie Mike the Bike, about bike-race legend Mike Hailwood: "That was harder than riding, the speed was blinding, I couldn't see what the hell was going on."

Greg Albertyn, multiple motocross World Champion: "I don't even understand how the bike stays on the track, how it doesn't just wash out through the corners, the traction is unbelievable. That blew my mind because I'm used to riding on the dirt, where you don't have much grip."

Duffy Gaver, personal trainer to Brad Pitt: "That's given me such an insane amount of respect for what the riders do, just the amount of exertion that goes into braking and everything else. It was like hanging on to a beast!"

Sonia Ferrer, presenter for Spanish TV1 channel: "That was amazing, like dancing with someone, you have to follow the rhythm. It was just fantastic, I want more!"
