At 16 today, Saturday 29 July, the 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps got underway. The race will count as the fourth round as the 2006 FIA GT championship. The two Maserati MC12s fielded by the Vitaphone Racing Team will also be taking part. Behind the wheel of the front row Trident will be Vincent Vosse-Jamie Davies-Thomas Biagi. The car on the second row will have Eric Van de Poele-Michael Bartels-Andrea Bertolini on board. Taking the first stint will be, respectively, Jamie Davies and Andrea Bertolini. Next will come Thomas Biagi and Vincent Vosse in one car and Michael Bartels and Eric Van de Poele in the other.

At the 2005 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps, the Maserati MC12s scored an amazing one-two courtesy of Poele-Bartels-Scheider and Bertolini-Wendlinger-Peter.
