Preparing for the race in qualifying for the GranSport Lights at Spa

28/07/2006 - Spa

Casé's sixteenth place obtained in the first qualifying session satisfies the AF Corse team.

Spa is considered a demanding circuit for the Modenese GT3s. The circuit's long straights highlights the differences in power between the cars (in terms of category and output) but the performances of the Maseratis was encouraging. Thanks to a time of 2'32"224, Casé managed to place the number 78 car in sixteenth spot. Sperati stopped the clock at 2'34"105 and will start from twenty-third.

In the second session, AF Corse, though they matched their earlier times, slipped down the standings. Andrea Palma clocked 2'32"209, while Gianni Giudici could not beat 2'35"166. In the race that will start tomorrow at 11.55, they will begin from twenty-ninth and thirty-fourth, respectively. Race 1 will be held this afternoon at 15.50.
