The GranSport Lights driven by Cerrai-Alessi and Sperati-Palma did well at Oschersleben in the second round of the new FIA GT3 European championship. Three Maserati GranSport Lights fielded by team AF Corse and with Cerrai-Alessi, Palma-Sperati and Casč-Marti behind the wheel, take part in the series. In race 1 disputed yesterday (Saturday 1 July) that saw the Maseratis perform extraordinarily, the GranSport Light driven by Alberto Cerrai-Diego Alessi finished seventh of the thirty who finished the race This after starting from the last row in the 60 minute event. In race 2, Roberto Sperati and Andrea Palma, twelfth across the line, bettered their finish in race 1 when they came eighteenth.
The other Trident crew of Lorenzo Casč-Benedetto Marti was forced to retire in both races after clashing with other cars. In race 2, the GranSport driven by Cerrai-Alessi ran off the track, its race over.


The third round of the season will take place at the Belgian circuit of Spa Francorchamps (29-30 July).
