FIA GT3 - OSCHERSLEBEN - Progress for the Trofeo GranSport Light in GT3 free practice

The first outing on the German circuit delivered improved performances for team AF Corse.
In the second round of the European GT3 championship, the three Trofeo GranSports fielded by Amato Ferrari's scuderia proved reliable at Oschersleben. This allowed the drivers to set good lap times.
In the first free practice session, Cerrai/Alessi covered the 3667 metre circuit in 1'33"019 to take the seventeenth best time out of forty-one participants. They were 82 thousandths faster than their team mates, Sperati/Palma (1'33"101). A little further back were Casé/Marti, in thirty seventh with a time of 1'35"030. It has to be remembered that Benedetto Marti was making his debut in the car.
In the second stint, Cerrai/Alessi confirmed their standing as the fastest Maserati crew with a time of 1'32"221. This was good enough for eighteenth place and was 1"488 off the top time set by the Corvette Z06 driven by Charriol/Campbell.
Casé/Marti, following a tough first session, climbed the standings to twenty-second (1'32"564) while Sperati/Palma could not repeat their morning performance and stopped the clock at 1'33"488, thirtieth overall.
Qualifying will take place tomorrow from 12.20 with race 1 timed for 17.05.
