Maserati MC12s conclude three test days ahead of the 24 Hours of Spa - Belgian Vincent Vosse also on the track

The two Vitaphone Racing Team Maserati MC12s concluded three days of Pirelli testing yesterday (Thursday 22 June). The sessions were held at the Tuscan circuit of Mugello. At the wheel of the Trident were the drivers who compete in the FIA GT championship: Andrea Bertolini-Michael Bartels and Thomas Biagi-Jamie Davies. They were joined by two others who will compete in the 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps on 29-30 July. Eric Van de Poele, who disputed the 24 Hours of Nuerburgring in the Maserati Laboratorio, will flank Bertolini and Bartels. In Biagi-Davies. MC12 will be the Belgian Vincent Vosse. The tests at Mugello, as well as providing preparation for the 24 Hour (seeing as Mugello is similar in layout to Spa) allowed Vincent Vosse to get to know the car. On day one. Bertolini ran 3 laps, Bartels 13, Van de Poele 78; in the second car, Biagi 8 laps, Davies 18, Vosse 48. On day two, Wednesday, Bertolini 81 laps, Bartels 23, Davies 94. Yesterday, to conclude, 112 laps for Bertolini, 15 for Van de Poele, Davies 89 and Biagi 15. In total, la Bertolini-Bartels-Van de Poele.s MC12 covered 1,710 km, and Biagi-Davies-Vosse.s car 1,425 km.
