Historic Challenge: wins for Boswell, Heuberger and Bosch at Estoril

The Estoril Historic Festival (Portugal) ended with the main day of the international event dedicated to classic cars. Ferrari played a major part in the weekend as the Shell Ferrari Maserati Historic Challenge fought it out on the Fernanda Pires da Silva track. The series reached its fourth and penultimate round of the season. Next comes the Ferrari World Finals at Mugello from 19 to 23 October. The weekend will witness the traditional Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro parade.

In the competition reserved to Prancing Horse and Trident cars, the A and B groups, (single seaters, sport prototypes and GT models fitted with drum brakes), the leading cars were Ferrari 625 F1 (1952) driven by British Alexander Boswell in race-1 and Maserati 250 F (1956) from Swiss Peter Heuberger in the second race.

In group C (cars with disc brakes) the Ferrari 512 BB LM (1981) driven by Dutch John Bosch scored wins in both races.
