Vilander and Giannoccaro will try to extend their lead at Magione

Magione - The Umbrian autodrome will host the fourth round of the Sara Italian Gran Turismo championship.
Toni Vilander and Gianbattista Giannoccaro, at the wheel of the Playteam Sara Free Maserati MC12, will be out to consolidate their overall lead after their win on 28 May at Vallelunga. On that occasion the Italian MC12 crew were tactically perfect in both races, exploiting the outright speed of the Finn Toni Vilander and the feisty attitude of the gentleman driver, Giannoccaro.

So, the scene is set for another exciting race. After the disappointing performance at Vallelunga, Racing Box will try to do well in the other Maserati MC12. Flanking Luca Cappellari will be Miguel Ramos, from Portugal. In the general classification, Cappellari occupies seventh place with 35 points. This is a position he is surely destined to improve given the potential of the car and driver. In theory, Magione is not a track suitable to the characteristics of the MC12 but the Maserati has proved its ability to adapt on many occasions and to different types of circuit.

There will be two qualifying sessions held on Saturday (14.30 and 18.20). The two races will take place on Sunday at 10.00 and 16.00.
