The development teams of the World SBK Championship will soon be hard at work again in a three day test session in the run-up to the 6th round at Misano’s Santamonica racetrack on the 23rd the 25th June. The planned test session will be held at Brno, in the Czech Republic, and will involve Ducati Xerox (Bayliss and Lanzi), Suzuki Alstare Corona (Corser and Kagayama), Yamaha Motor Italia (Haga and Pitt), Kawasaki PSG-1 (Walker, Laconi and Nieto) and Petronas (Martin and Jones). A number of Supersport teams will also be participating, including Honda Ten Kate (Charpentier and Sofuoglu), Yamaha Germany (Curtain and Parkes), Ducati LBR (Zaiser) and Kawasaki Gil Motor (Chambon and Berger).
Pirelli will be providing around twenty different tyres for the tests, for both SBK and SS, incorporating new structural designs, mixes, profiles and tread patterns. The test session will identify the tyres that will subsequently be used in the second part of the 2006 season.
