Free practice for the Trofeo at Brno


After the races at Monza and Silverstone, Brno will also be the setting for the third round of the Trofeo Audemars Piguet Maserati Europa.
Alberto Cerrai (50 points and winner of the first two races) is leading. Next comes Maurizio Fabris (40) and Andrea De Megni (29). Today's free practice saw Ravasio-Alessi set the fastest time in 2'15"216, second Alberto Cerrai (2'15"417), third Maurizio Fabris (2'16"749).
Good fourth time for the young crew formed by Nicolò Oddi and Giacomo Ricci (2'17"338): Ricci (21 years old) is running for the first time at the wheel of a grantouring car, because is driving in Formula 3000 serie. Positive debut also for Massimiliano Mugelli and Alessandro Baccani, in fifth with 2'17"369.
The fourth edition of Trofeo Maserati Europa started at Monza on last April 2nd and saw the win of Alberto Cerrai, winner of Trofeo in 2005. On the podium, in second Maurizio Fabris and in third Manuel Villa. Under the rain, in Silverstone (May 7th) beautiful performance for Diego Alessi in first at the finish line: but he didn't ran with his co-driver Francesco Ravasio and so Alessi didn't scored points for the championship. For the second time, Cerrai is the winner. Fabris confirmed a second position followed by Andrea De Megni.
Qualifying session is provided tomorrow - Saturday May 27th at 11.50 - and 1 hour race on Sunday May 28th.
