Jarek Janis fastest in first free practice

At his home event, Jarek Janis set the fastest time in the first free practice session. The nr 9 Zakspeed Saleen S7 set a best time of 1:57.951 around the 5.4 km circuit. He was followed by three Aston Martin DBR9 cars, the nr 24 and nr 23 Aston Martin Racing BMS cars sandwiching the nr 33 Race Alliance car, which claimed its best-yet position. The Corvette C6 was fifth, ahead of the nr 2 Vitaphone Maserati MC 12 and the nr 7 B-Racing Lamborghini - also its best position to date. This meant five marques in the top seven - quite an exceptional result ! In GT2, Scuderia Ecosse led a trio of Ferrari 430 GT2 cars. The nr 63 ar of Mullen and Bennett set the best time of 2:02.601, ahead of the nr 55 JMB GruppeM and the nr 62 Scuderia Ecosse Ferrari. The nr 75 Ebimotors Porsche led the cars with penalty weight, in 4th position.
