Andrea Belluzzi does the double at Misano in Ferrari Challenge

The Misano Adriatico (Rimini) circuit today hosted races in the second round of this season's Italian Ferrari Challenge Pirelli Trophy, the one-make series now in its fourteenth year. Today's programme featured the new F430, alongside a few 360 Modenas, still allowed on track for this year only. In the grid for the F430, the main category saw both victories go to Andrea Belluzzi (Motor.) In race-1, the San Marino driver crossed the line ahead of the crew of Livio/Montani (Rossocorsa) and Dario Caso (CDP.) In the afternoon's race he beat Philipp Baron (team Baron) and Livio/Montani. The crew of Sauto/Prinoth (Ineco) emerged on top in this morning's race for gentlemen drivers in the Shell Cup, winning ahead of the Cappelletti/Ferroni (Rossocorsa/Pellin) crew and the brothers Victor and Giovanni Coggiola (team Forza.) The finishing order for race-2 ended with Cristian Francescon (team Forza) beating Massimo Mantovani (Stile F) and Vani Campari (Motor/Sauro) into second and third places respectively.

As for the group featuring the 360 Modena, the spoils of victory were divided between Emanuele Moncini (Stile F) and Lorenzo Bontempelli (Rossocorsa.) Worth noting an excellent performance from Nina Jerancic (Ineco,) the young Slovenian woman who, in race 1, made it to the Ferrari Challenge podium for the first time, finishing third. The Italian version of the Ferrari Challenge Pirelli Trophy is back on track over the weekend of 28th May at Vallelunga (Rome.)
