FIA GT 2006 - Close competition in Dijon test
The official media day to launch the 2006 season of the FIA GT Championship got off to a good start in Dijon today. With a well-attended press conference, a photo shoot and media laps around 3.802 km circuit, the teams and drivers took the opportunity to run on the track which will host the 6th round of 2006. The best lap of the day was set by the Zakspeed Saleen, with a time of 1:14.484, ahead of the nr 2 Vitaphone Maserati and the GLPK Carsport CorvetteC6. The top seven cars set times within one second. The best GT2 car was the Scuderia Ecosse Ferrari 430, in ninth overall, ahead of the Michelotto and AF Corse Ferraris, with the leading Ebimotors Porsche close behind.
