WTCC and EAC at Valencia
On Sunday 2nd October, in Valencia (Spain) will be the ninth appointment of the season. Alfa Romeo Racing Team is going to enter the second-last Championship round with the great results obtained in the 2004 race. On the 4 km of the Spanish circuit, official Alfa 156s routed the competitors gaining the pole position with Augusto Farfus, the wins in race 1 (Gabriele Tarquini) and race 2 (Fabrizio Giovanardi), and signing the fastest laps with Farfus and Tarquini.
Besides these results, Alfa Romeo recently dominated extra-European round in Istanbul (Turkey, on the last 18th September) where the Racing Team registered a “poker” in qualifying (pole position for Tarquini, followed by Thompson, Farfus and Giovanardi) and gained race 1 and race 2 with double one-two (Giovanardi-Thompson and Tarquini-Farfus).
