Cerrai the fastest in Trofeo free practice at Monza

Alberto Cerrai was quickest at the end of the first Trofeo Audemars Piguet Maserati Europa free practice session.
The reigning champion’s time of 2'01"729 bettered that of Ravasio/Alessi (0"177) and the French crew of Coulomb/Beltoise (2'02"404).
Fourth was Andrea De Megni (2'02"774), at the wheel of the Pakelo VIP Car. He edged out Manuel Villa (2'02"995) and the competitive Cambi/Oddi pair (2'03"214) in the Trofeo GranSport.
Maurizio Fabris, one of the favourites for the title, set the seventh fastest time. In eighth were the debutants Radaelli/Galimberti, ninth Alberto Pizzicannella – in the Autosprint VIP car – with Panacci/De Martini coming next.
Qualifying will take place tomorrow between 12.50 and 13.50, with Sunday’s race being shown on Sportitalia at 17.
