Korean GP - A tough qualifying in prospect

Yeongam, 13 October

Once again, Sebastian Vettel was fastest in the third and final free practice hour for the Korean Grand Prix, just as he was at the end of yesterday’s second session. The reigning world champion took his Red Bull round in 1.37.642, ahead of the McLaren duo of Lewis Hamilton (1.38.169) and Jenson Button (1.38.511.) The two Ferraris of Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa ended up sixth and eighth respectively, the Spaniard doing a 1.39.084 and the Brazilian taking his F2012 round in 1.39.376 on a first run on the Soft tyre, before getting down to 1.38.705 and 1.38.791 respectively when they switched to the Supersoft. The cars ran the same set-up all morning and will be back on track for qualifying at 14h00.
