GT Sprint - Black Team Ferrari wins championship with two races in hand

At the same meeting as the European Ferrari Challenge, the Spa Francorchamps circuit was also the backdrop to the fifth round of the International GT Sprint series. The weekend saw Andrea Palma and his Ferrari 458 GT2 win the championship with two races still to go. The Black Team driver, having won Race 1 and then made it to third in the afternoon race, put the series title beyond doubt, stamping his authority on the championship. The second race at Spa saw Mario Cordoni make it to the top step of the podium for the first time, in his Ombra Racing Ferrari 458 Italia, which also leads GT3. The next round of the GT Sprint series takes place on 15 July at the Pergusa circuit.
