Winning debut for the 458 Italia in the British GT Championship

Maranello, 9 October

The 458 Italia, in its debut season in the main GT championships, has made its first mark on the British championship, one of the most competitive series in Europe. Run by CRS Racing and crewed by Jim and Glynn Geddie, the Ferrari 458 Italia GT3 took the series thanks to a third place in the Silverstone endurance race, the final round of the season. This is the second championship to go to the CRS team after they won in 2008 with the F430. The key to the win was consistency over all seven rounds, with the team always finishing in the points, fighting off tough opposition in the form of Porsche, Mercedes, Audi and Aston Martin, showing the true spirit of the Maranello marque.
