Hungarian GP – A good feeling on Friday at Budapest

The McLaren of Lewis Hamilton (1.21.018) finished on top in the second session of free practice for the Hungarian Grand Prix. At the end of the 90 minutes of running at the Hungaroring, the Ferrari of Fernando Alonso was second (1.21.259) ahead of the other McLaren of Jenson Button (1.21.322). The 150° Italia of Felipe Massa was sixth in 1.22.099, after putting in a total of 40 laps.

In this afternoon’s session the team concentrated on set-up work, completing the busy planned programme with a positive feeling. Both cars tried out the two different tyre compounds, Soft and Supersoft, on both short and long runs in preparation for qualifying and the race.

Tomorrow at 1100 there will be the final hour of free practice ahead of the all-important qualifying session at 1400.
